Microblading has been around for a while, and it’s a beauty service that doesn’t seem to be going away. Having full, healthy brows have always been sought after in the beauty industry, and Microblading can help even the sparsest brows achieve that.
Is Everyone a Good Candidate for Microblading?
Microblading isn’t only reserved for thin, sparse brows—even if you’ve been blessed with naturally full ones, microblading can enhance what’s already there. But the results are especially remarkable on those with thin brows (and can be nearly life-changing for people who suffer from alopecia).
How Does Microblading Work?
The first step is to know what the patient wants to get down. At BeauCare Vancouver Skin Clinic we give you a variety of different types of shapes that can be achieved with Microblading. We also provide different types of pigments according to the needs and wants of the clients. Our aestheticians are well trained and will deliver what the clients expect from us.
The next step at BeauCare Vancouver Skin Clinic is also the longest step, which is to measure and to draw the shape and size of the eyebrow. This may take up to an hour, as getting the right shape is the most important step. Alongside the patient also chooses the color of the eyebrows. We have a large selection of colours available, to suit all different hair colours and skin tones. Then, the doctors apply the numbing cream on your brows, so that when the procedure starts, the patient does not feel any pain or discomfort. We are very cautious of the Pigments we use and all our products are Canadian FDA approved and also the best in the market.
The technician will use extremely small blades to make tiny, hairlike incisions right above the dermis layer of the skin while depositing pigment directly into those incisions. As a result, your brows will naturally fade over time and require touch-ups. Because microblading is a semipermanent procedure, your brows will last anywhere from one to three years. This is unlike what happens with a tattoo artist, who injects ink below the dermis, making the results hella permanent.
To create the desired look, a technician manually punctures and penetrates the skin with the pigment color that best suits the client’s natural brow tone to give the illusion of fuller, darker, and groomed brows. Again, the numbing cream will help ease any pain or discomfort that you would feel.
After a few hours, the extra numbing cream is removed and the eyebrows are left to dry for 48 hours at least. After that, we put a cream, as prescribed by the doctors, which is to be put around 2 or 3 times a day to keep the eyebrows hydrated. The most important part is to not remove the scabs, even if it’s really itchy! Otherwise, the pigment could come off!
After 6 weeks, if required you may come to our clinic again for a touch-up session. Our doctors at BeauCare Skin Clinic will evaluate the procedure and then take the necessary steps to improve the appearance of the eyebrows, which should look absolutely natural!
What Are The Risks?
Microblading is way less invasive than tattooing, and there’s zero downtime required, but infection is still the biggest risk, which means you want to do your research and choose a reputable technician who works in a sterile environment. All of our aestheticians have been certified and trained to provide the microblading service, as well as go through a long interview process when starting work at BeauCare Vancouver Skin Clinic. Not only so, but they also all have a long and extensive background in skin care. This gives them the knowledge to ensure the entire procedure is done correctly while providing the highest standards of hygiene and equipment use. Going to a reputable skin clinic is always the best idea!
